Great day had by all at Hatfield Hall, the weather was kind and we managed to deliver some excellent Images for the new Brochure courtesy of Angie Hall Owner of  Ormond Images , Michelle  Hobkirk  owner of miss to mrs on face book is the official supplier for Hatfield and had supplied every single thing to compliment the  shoot including all headdresses, veils, stunning Dresses and every Accessories ,plus the Cars they really are the best in wedding Planning .

The themes we all came up with one being  based on Marie Antoinette which suited our blonde hair model Kelsey the pale pink Princess dress was just the ticket and adding the large feathers to Kelsey ‘s hair and getting her to hold one looked amazing .

Sharon from Hatfield hall who is the wedding co ordinater for the venue had discussed with Michelle, Angie and myself   on the second theme to be more of a Vintage  theme so we went with  Rockabilly, this style was so Sarah our second Model, Angie came up with the idea of Sarah growling at the Camera which was not only awesome and fun  to watch but just as good on image .

we were also very lucky to have a special  prop from one of the golfers  a vintage Bike which was park outside, Angie the Photographer spotted it and asked if Sarah our model could pose on it and wow another image was created .the day was getting better and better we all worked hard and the images Angie produce are as fantastic as the day was.

hope you like them  as much as I liked working on this shoot

When  working on these model’s hair and make up  I realise I’m a lucky Lady to be able to have a hobby which happens to be the Job I love

Advant-Garde Photo Shoot

On a very Wet Sunday Morning in October 2015 I put a Photoshoot together at the Gel Bridal Studio with a little help from my friends, working along side Emma Greenwood Photography. We wanted to shoot using only day light ,no extra lighting or fancy photo shop we wanted to show our talent, using only the camera and my make up kit and no added touches to the images, we had a lot of fun and made the shoot our own.

Models for the day were Sarah Harper and Kelsey Jo Longstaff. The girls were shown images of the type of look we were going for on a mood board and they were brilliant in replicating the images and bringing them to life on this shoot.

Emma Greenwood our Photographer for the day was excellent at following my vision and adding her input which is why I would not hesitate to work along side her again. I Feel very privileged to have friends who loved to spend a few hours putting a lot of effort into a wonderful day of shooting. I would also like to thank my Close friend Urban Bride for the loan of her stunning Headdress Collection which are all hand made,

Once again I love the versatile of my Job and how creative and exciting  these Shoots can be

I hope you enjoy looking at these Images as much as we all enjoyed making them

Vintage Bridal Shoot – The Heath Common

Posted by / November 18, 2013 / Categories: Photoshoots / Tags: , / 0 Comments

The shoot location was at the Heath Common with Urban Bride who supplied the hair Accessories and Fantasia Bridal Wear wedding dresses, and hair by gel bridal style …

on location at the Kings Arms with Martin Hillary Photography.

working along close friends in the Industry works so well we know what is  expected from each other ,plus side to this is that we have so much fun and laughter.

Believe it or not none of the models have modelled before they were friends and family members ..and I can’t thank them enough for being such sports in helping us out on the day.

We were also very fortunate in getting hold of a Red bus supplied by  a local coach  Company at the time Palmers.

The  models looked fantastic in their Vintage style dresses and accessories, once I had a chance to view these before the shoot  I soon had idea’s what I would do for hairstyles.

When working on a shoot you have to think fast as there can be unexpected surprises .one being the Kings Arms have the old method of lighting the place with oil lamps which meant I could not use hair spray (boom) so running in and out to sort the girls hair was a bit of a challenge.

Martin  Hillary the Photographer was in full swing and took the opportunity in using every bit of space in the kings Arms to create that vintage image.

Well I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it x
